For years (decades?) Al Whitman has eaten lunch and dinner at Pasta Jay’s in Boulder.  Recently, he was noticeably absent from the restaurant, and people started to wonder, ‘Where’s Al?”   Mike Colucci was contemplating walking down the Pearl Street Mall and peering into windows, to see if he could spot Al dining at another restaurant. 

Then, Al surfaced and his absence was explained.

Al met Jan!  And now he’s moving to Hawaii, where Jan lives.

Recently friends of Pasta Jay gathered to celebrate Al and wish him bon voyage.

Drinks were flowing.

Cooks were cooking.

Hosts were toasting!

Flowers, balloons,

smiles, this party had it all.

Al was presented with the perfect going away gift — a box of Rigatoni noodles!

All the best, Al.   We won’t say goodbye, just

and we’ll let you know when Pasta Jay’s Maui is set to open!
